Tonight I finished working on the quilting of this quilt. I was commissioned to make the top which, as you can see is comprised of Sugar Skull fabrics.
The pattern chosen for her quilt is a variation on pinwheels.
This quilt is destined for my clients horse trailer. It’s one of those ‘living—quarters-for—people-too’ kind of trailers. Quite obviously, I don’t know what their proper name is, but hopefully you get the gist.
In any case, this client of mine (my SIL) is a prior National Champion who rides as a HUS (hunter under saddle) competitor. She is heading to Congress next month.
She did not want anything about horses on her quilt - so I just played around with the stitching and kept it fairly simple.
I did have a little fun though...
You can’t really tell here, but on the Fireside...
This quilt will be delivered on time (even a little early) and taken with her on this next adventure. Just needs the binding and it’s done.
While she is away and competing, it will remind her of the love and family she has at home, here in Southern Alberta. ❤️
